MRS. CLAUS' GLAZED MEATBALLS
(guaranteed to ring your
Christmas bells!)
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb. of ground
beef
½ cup fine dry bread crumbs
1/3 cup minced onions
1/4 cup milk
1 egg, beaten
1 Tbsp chopped parsley (fresh, of course)
1 Tsp salt
½ Tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/8 Tsp pepper
2 Tbsp Vegetable oil
½ cup bottled chili sauce
1 cup (12 oz. jar) grape jelly

STEP 1: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrums, onion, milk egg, parsley, salt, Worcestershire sauce and pepper. Mix this very well. Shape this into 1 inch meatballs and cook in hot oil, over medium heat, for 10 to 15 minutes. You want to brown the meatballs, but don't burn them. Remove the meatballs from the pan, and dry on paper towels to remove excess oil. |

STEP 2: Combine the jelly and chili sauce in a medium saucepan, stirring well until the jelly has melted into the chili sauce. Add the meatballs into the sauce mixture and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to make sure all meatballs are well coated. This one drives the elves crazy!! |
