MRS. CLAUS' FAMOUS MOUSSE CAKE
RECIPE

(this is a real favorite of the reindeer!)

INGREDIENTS:
Three (3) 8oz. packages of semisweet chocolate squares
3/4 cup of sugar
1 cup of freshly brewed, and very strong coffee
1/2 cup Bourbon
1 cup butter
2 cups whipping cream, whipped to soft peaks

*Regarding the alcohol in this, it is optional, but just doesn't taste the same without it.

STEP 1: In a heavy saucepan you want to cook over low heat, the following ingredients: chocolate, sugar, coffee, bourbon, and butter. STIR well until smooth. Remove from the heat and allow to cool.

STEP 2: When the mixture in STEP 1 is cool... and it must be cool to room temperature... fold in the whipped cream. Mrs. Claus usually does the whipping of the cream while the mixture is cooling.

STEP 3: While the mixture is cooling, and you have finished whipping the cream to soft peaks, you will want to line a 9 by 5 inch loaf pan with plastic wrap. When this is done, and everything is folded together, you will then spoon the mixture into the pan. Cover the pan with plastic wrap, and freeze for 8 hours.

STEP 4: Once frozen for 8 hours, or overnight, remove the cake from the pan by inverting it on the serving dish and remove the plastic wrap used to line the pan. You can dress up the cake by decorating it with a ribbon and maybe a rose, or other decoration to make it look like a wrapped present.

Store in the refrigerator. You can serve with additional whipped cream, or with some chocolate syrup drizzled over top... just like Dasher and Dancer prefer!
